List Serve
The Dissociative Disorders Internet Forum (DISSOC): The Dissociative Disorders Internet Forum, is a privately owned list not affiliated with ISSTD. It is a popular way of networking with colleagues around the world concerning clinical and research issues that relate to trauma and dissociation. The list was originally one of the St.John's University Maelstrom lists. It was started by Peter Barach, PhD. Current List owner/moderator is Richard A. Chefetz, MD. Co-moderators are Sharon Hofferer, Gloria Rodberg, Tedi Grace Spencer, and Ava Schlesinger. Forum membership is free and open to licensed mental health professionals and their supervisees, graduate students enrolled in a mental health curriculum, and researchers who have published on relevant topics in peer-reviewed journals. You have two choices in regard to how to sign up for this listserv: 1. click here to send an email message containing only the following line in the text box (leave the subject line blank): SUB DISSOCIATIVE-DISORDERS Pat Smith, Ph.D. (replace “Pat Smith” with your own full name and professional degree, of course). You will receive a response telling you how to submit proof of professional credentials to the list moderator. 2. write to r.a.chefetz@psychsense.net about your wish to be on the listserv, and either email him a copy of your license to practice your profession, send him the link and info to confirm your online license verification ([preferred), or fax it to him at 202.244.5676. If you choose to fax, then please write your name clearly on the fax, as well as your email address, and "DISSOC."
